The Role
I felt that the entire experience was really informative and made me really want to work at Pinsent Masons. However, it was hard work.
Pinsent Masons values of being open and approachable really show with everyone making you feel really welcome. The work I did seemed to be really valued by the team and they appreciated me being there helping with the workload.
I was given alot of support by the solicitors, associates and trainees.
I think the workload was perfect. I was never bored and I never felt overwhelmed.
I was given enough responsibility to feel that the work I was doing was important and valued by other team members.
The placement really provided me with a valuable insight to the work of trainee and has provided me with a good basis for when I start a training contract
The Company
As the offices were open plan, the amount of noise was kept to a minimum.
I was provided with lots of information in advance, and a mentor. I met my mentor everyday to get feedback and guidance.
They trained us in their IT system. They organised practice presentations so that we could learn about the different areas of law in which the operate in.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I cant wait to hear whether I have been offered a place at the firm.
The Culture
Over the 2 weeks we had five nights out, all subsidised by the firm.
All of the nights out were paid for by the firm. I did not live in the area I was working in so I can not comment about the cost of living.
There were a lot of nice bars around the office. We also went bowling.
We were offered the opportunity to play softball and hockey. We were also involved the firms corporate responsibility programme.
