The Role
PLEASE NOTE: This review was for a placement at General Motors prior to the amalgamation of Vauxhall and General Motors (The RateMyPlacement Team) Really enjoyed it.. Wholly recommend the job/company
Getting involved in the social side as well as the work side allowed me to build a really good rapport with my colleagues, which also came in useful in the work place!
Was encouraged to do things in the ways I saw best and also given license to make a number of changes and updates to reports as well as creating a number of my own
Real fluctuation of work levels at different times of the week/month/year depending on targets and how close we are to hitting them. once or twice had to stay untill 7pm or be in at 7.30am but 99% of the time its been fine
As above was given license to do things as I saw fit and change things if I felt it was for the better
Biggest issue is confidence and having something extra to add to the CV!
The Company
People were understandably nervous about losing their jobs with vauxhall so the atmosphere at least at the start was quite subdued, picked up as the years gone on though.
