About You
Very much so. Everyone was really nice & friendly.
All of the grads gave us really good advice for what to expect if we did an internship/worked at RBS which made me feel like they actually cared about us. One manager gave me his details to email him if I ever needed some advice.
We received lots of guidance on our presentation on the last day i.e. how to present well and what to expect from assessment centre etc.
The networking talk by Jim was incredible useful, as was the "meet the client" talk by fitch.
The Company
Very well structured, the first two days gave a real understanding of RBS and banking as a whole, the shadowing was suited in being placed in the middle two days.
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
We had lots of training and development in Day 1 & 2
Very much a good insight. When shadowing we saw exactly what their roles entailed, and we could ask questions about RBS, how they found it etc.
After attending the YBA event, I felt I understood more about RBS than I have done beforehand from the press and spring week.
Quite valuable.
Everything Else
As I live in London, didn't qualify for travel/accom.
Lots of opportunities were made available. On the third day, we went to a YBA event and I met the deputy CEO so they were endless really.
The quiz was really good for making friends on the programme.
Many employees are on committees, football teams etc.
Very useful if youre interested in banking.
