The Role
The work I was given was of a very high quality, and was also the type of work that I would be doing as a trainee.
My colleagues mademe feel as though I was actually useful rather than being given mundane tasks that meant very little in the long term.
The support system was very strong. I had a supervisor who allocated me work and a buddy. The only down side was that my buddy was on holiday for one of the weeks that I was there and so I did not get to know her as well as I would have liked.
I never sat twiddling my thumbs as I was always able to go around the department and ask for work. On the other hand, when I was too busy it seemed perfectly acceptable for me to say so.
I was given a lot of responsibility in terms of the work I was given. They also ran a project in which I had a chance to take on a lot more responsibility which I loved. Everything was checked though which was reassuring.
My degree has actually finished but the skills that I have developed will be priceless going in to my law conversion course this year, and will definately help me no matter what industry I end up in.
The Company
There were after work socials on most nights which was fantastic. We also had the chance to go to the office party and go for drinks with traines after work.
Incredible organisation and planning must have gone into the internship. There was never a point at which I felt as though anything could have been better arranged.
I think that the firm puts a lot of time and effort into each of the vacation students. Not only in terms of money but also in terms of the events, talks and project that they run.

Company Parties/Events
I would absolutely love to have a job with this firm. However, the group that I was with were incredibly strong and so I'm not entirely sure what my chances will be.
The Culture
All of the summer scheme students got on together absolutely perfectly. It is at the stage where we are all emailing to organise going to lunch together. I will definately keep in touch with them.
The bars in London are of course expensive, but the firm paid for virtually everything! I was specifically told by the trainee partner that vacation students should not spend money/buy drinks!
It was fantastic going to the bar sfizio's across the road after work. A very relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Some of the other vacation students took part in the running club on Thursday and Tuesday mornings. I however do not overly enjoy running, but there were plenty of opportunities for me to take part if I had wanted to, and of course, I could always attend the social events.
