About You
We had a very detailed insight into the different divisions of the company, which allowed me to realize what job I wanted to do.
All the representatives were very open to our questions and answered to all of them.
The HR team was really efficient and guided us through the week to make sure we would get the most out of it !
The Business Skills Training was amazing. For 3 hours, we got really useful tips to become more convincing when speaking in public, which will obviously assist me through my degree studies and beyond.
The Company
The schedule was dense but really well structured, with an equilibrium between presentations and networking events.
I got along with most of the interns and the representatives were very open. I especially liked the networking events, the representatives I talked to really helped me the reality of their job and it felt like they wanted to invest in us.
They offered us a Business Skills Training sessions which was really helpful, and made everything they could for us to make the best out of our experience.
So many questions asked, so many answers : I really understand better the different positions now.
We had a lot of presentations about the values of the company, which I really enjoyed because I feel like the people you work with are as important as the job you do;
The presentations helped us understand the different business areas, and then we could ask our questions, so it really convinced me to work in Global Markets.
Everything Else
Barclays arranged my accommodation, reimbursed my travel expenses and paid me for the week, which allowed me to take part in the programme without having to think whether I could afford it or not.
2 networking events and 2 speed networking sessions : I could not hope any better.
Really well organized with enough representatives, it's just a shame that there was no representative for the special division I want to work in.
We had a presentation about the volunteering work you can do outside of work, which was really interesting.
I enjoyed all of it, really.
