About You
Thoroughly enjoyable. You will learn an awful lot about the finance industry and what it means to work as an Investment Banker
You are made to feel incredibly valued during the week. They are aware that we are, potentially, future employees, so you integrated into Barclays.
It is mainly about taking the initiative, but they make sure you don't stray too far from the point of the week.
Not only in knowledge, but the personal development sessions are brilliant and really change you for the future.
The Company
Naturally, not all the presentations are exciting, but most of us where sad when the week finished
You certainly feel as though this is a mini-training session in line for a career at Barclays
This is mainly through networking with employees at the firm, who are incredibly honest about the day to day tasks they are involved in.
The first session was on Barclays' culture and it is a constant theme throughout the week.
The whole week gives you a great idea of what you can expect if you choose to pursue a career as an Investment Banker at Barclays.
Everything Else
Enough, but we probably would have liked more
Between interns you have to make your own effort, but that is not necessarily a bad thing
Barclays is very keen on its employees taking part in volunteering opportunities and even provides employees with days off to do these type of things
It was a great week and I learnt a lot about Barclays and Investment Banking
