About You
Very interesting and informative week, including plenty of un activities.
Everyone was very friendly and made the whole week a really good experience.
Some tips on interviews, CVs and the application process, but the overall aim of the week was to gain an insight into the company and industry which it did a great job of providing.
The sessions on CV writing and interviews will be very useful for applying for internships and careers in the future
The Company
The whole week was well timetabled but plenty of breaks to talk to those providing the sessions and relax a bit more. Meals were arranged most evenings, but the rest of the time was left free.
All of those providing the activities and presentations in the week were very enthusiastic and happy to answer any questions you had - whether related to the topics or more general.
Though only a week, we received very useful training in CV writing and interview techniques, as well as tips on Shell's application process
Throughout the week we got an insight into all areas of the company and had the opportunity to talk to recent graduates and more senior members of the company about their current roles and career paths, so got a great understanding of what is available.
Employees that spoke to us were willing to talk about all aspects of their jobs and wider interactions with the company, but being a global company, I'm sure culture differs depending on location.
The insight into all of the different careers areas and more senior employees sharing their career paths gave me a very good idea of what I would like to aim for.
Everything Else
All travel, accommodation and food costs were taken care of.
Employees were always happy to talk during breaks and a meal was arranged with some of the graduates most evenings, so there were plenty of opportunities to talk.
Employees talked openly and honestly about the jobs and experiences throughout the week.
Plenty of information on the activities available and had the chance to go out with the graduate network.
Fantastic week - very informative and interesting.
