About You
It was really interesting, informative, interactive and we had a lot of fun within the group.
The people were really committed, answered to all our questions and were really welcoming.
Great organisation, the team thought about every detail.
Special session dedicated to presentation skills, how to make a good presentation, how to pitch. The work shadowing session enabled us to see concretely how it his to work in Investment Banking, a unique opportunity.
The Company
Really well organised, every day was focused on a different division of the bank
Intense week but a lot of fun
We got to talk to a lot of employees at Barclays, from analysts to Directors. We had networking events and speeches from Directors. Also, skills development session which was very useful.
The work shadowing of two departments was a great opportunity to see what are the daily tasks of a Sales person for example. We could choose the department we wanted to work shadow in.
Talking with employees gave a good insight and we had a session dedicated to Barclays' values and citizenship.
It helps to get a good overview and to make our own point of view of Investment Banking, rather than listening to the common stereotypes.
Everything Else
Barclays provided us with everything we needed.
There were two networking events, two speeches from Directors, panel sessions and speed networking events.
It is always difficult to network but the people were very open and willing to explain us what we wanted to know about their jobs.
During the presentation sessions, we got to know in which activities the employees were volunteering.
It was a great week, an amazing opportunity to see whether banking is suited for us or not.
