The Role
It was a very rewarding experience and I was given lots of real work which I appreciated. I was also given a Project to do over my 3 weeks which took up a lot of time. I was kept very busy and it was hard work but manageable.
Everyone was very friendly, you really felt looked after and useful.
the HR team were fantastic!
Very busy, except for the last day where no-one had any work to give me because there wasn't enough time for it to get done!
I was given a surprising amount of independence and responsibility, but my work was also checked and monitored at the end so I did not feel worried about responsibility - a good balance.
Skills for life definitely - working in an office environment, working in a team, time management, prioritisation, good communication...
The Company
A hard working office, but people were also happy to have a laugh and there was a good atmosphere. I think this was a very important part of why I enjoyed my time on the placement and it was very conducive to good work.
Apart from some teething problems on the first few days, very smoothly run!
There were a lot of social occassions and workshop-type events
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Really hopeful that this internship will lead to a job but I'm in a very strong group of applicants so competition is 'tough'!
The Culture
Very good social atmosphere, we really got on well as a group and will definitely be keeping in touch. We went drinking at the 'local' very often and friday nights were very crazy!
Fairly expensive but expected in London
Covent garden just around the corner, could be worse!
I think some of my intake played in the cricket team, but the social 'work' activities weren't promoted heavily (but that isn't really a criticism)
