    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a very rewarding experience and I was given lots of real work which I appreciated. I was also given a Project to do over my 3 weeks which took up a lot of time. I was kept very busy and it was hard work but manageable.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • the HR team were fantastic!

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, except for the last day where no-one had any work to give me because there wasn't enough time for it to get done!

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a surprising amount of independence and responsibility, but my work was also checked and monitored at the end so I did not feel worried about responsibility - a good balance.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Skills for life definitely - working in an office environment, working in a team, time management, prioritisation, good communication...

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A hard working office, but people were also happy to have a laugh and there was a good atmosphere. I think this was a very important part of why I enjoyed my time on the placement and it was very conducive to good work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Apart from some teething problems on the first few days, very smoothly run!

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were a lot of social occassions and workshop-type events

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Really hopeful that this internship will lead to a job but I'm in a very strong group of applicants so competition is 'tough'!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Very good social atmosphere, we really got on well as a group and will definitely be keeping in touch. We went drinking at the 'local' very often and friday nights were very crazy!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fairly expensive but expected in London

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Covent garden just around the corner, could be worse!

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I think some of my intake played in the cricket team, but the social 'work' activities weren't promoted heavily (but that isn't really a criticism)

    3/5
