About You
On all levels, in all areas, the insight was really good.
I have now so many new connections with both people working there and people who attended. Everyone was very friendly, and often referred to us as 'talented' people.
We had sessions that actually gave us skill training (i.e presentation) and they were really useful, ones I would take away with me and use at university.
Like mentioned above, very much.
The Company
It was quite packed out with things we were doing but that keep me inspired and determined to learn as much as possible in just a week.
Very fun, and energetic.
The training really felt like it was for my benefit; like the presentation one, or even ones on Barclays seemed to be reflective for myself- to see if I feel I suit the company myself.
Specifically the work shadowing, it was a real insight.
I came to Barclays with some ideas about its 'tough, terrible' culture, I just learned that it was a hard working and fast changing one, which to me is a good thing, unlike what many people have said to me in the past.
The overviews of each function within the business were really helpful.
Everything Else
This was really good, particularly for poor students like myself.
From day one to the end of the week.
Evening networking and those who stayed in provided accommodation often went out.
A lot of volunteering goes on- e.g. on lunch breaks in local schools.
Most definitely, it was great.
