The Role
I really enjoyed my time working in the NHS. The placement required me to work long hours but i was given adequate breaks and the changing environment meant that it was difficult to ever get bored.
In hospital the working environment requires you to be very active with your peers and the people i was working with were confident people who i had no problem in communicating with.
I wasnt given a lot of help from management it was more from peers around me.
I was always occupied and very rarely given a chance of have a rest.
I was given a lot of responsibility during the placement such a cleaning and helping seniors.
The skills i learned during this placement were essential to my degree studies and definitely took my work to another level.
The Company
Typical hospital atmosphere with fast paced environment.
Many jobs are instantaneous in this type of environment so it was difficult to organise but i was always swiftly assigned jobs.
A lot of time was spent training me in standard procedure
Subsidised Canteen
Prospects within the NHS are very great and is an area which i would like to work in.
The Culture
A reasonable social scene but many different ages types and interests so was sometimes difficult.
Very expensive for most living activities.
Top nightlife always something different to do for all types of people.
A few opportunities but none appeared to be very popular.
