The Role
Barclays is a great place for the internship. Lots of very interesting job with a chance to learn a lot.
Colleagues were very friendly and willing to help. People appreciate that you might need more time to learn some new things and help with it.
Even though my manager was senior and did not have a lot of free time, he spent much time helping me and discussing my results.
I was not bored but sometimes was really busy. On the other hand, most of times when I worked extra hours it was my choice.
I did projects that are used by clients (front office people). On the other hand, being an intern I was not expecting to do something really sophisticated.
It was great and very useful experience both for my strong skills like math and programming and weaker ones including presentations and documentation.
The Company
It is a good working environment, same time people are very nice and friendly. Some friendly talks and jokes were making days really better.
It was very good, we had nice intern events and trainings. For a foreign intern it could be more help with placement guidance, but overall very well organised.
Trainings very good. As far as I know there are many trainings during graduate program. On the other hand, my manager and colleagues spent much time to teach me.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I got an offer for a full time position after finishing my internship and look forward to join the organisation.
The Culture
People are really nice even if they are really senior.
London is very expensive city. On the other hand, my salary gave me a good chance to have good free time.
Pubs and restaurants very nice. I am not really a parting guy.
There were many sport clubs and social groups. I played volleyball with Barclays team. London gives many interesting opportunities itself.
