About You
The insight has been a useful experience. I have been given the oppurtunity to see the variety of work that occurs in one department. The diversity of work has been stimulating and rewarding.
I have been introduced to everyone in the department and spent time with different members of the team. As such I have been able to achieve a greater insight into the diverse work that occurs.
My mentor has regularly ensured I had work to do and that I understood the task. Furthermore my mentor has encouraged other memebers of staff to offer me work so that I may gain a greater understanding of the diverse work within the department.
The programme has been a useful introduction into the professional world of work. The importance of inter-personal skills and client management is something that I will value highly, and will undoubtedly aid me in the future.
The Company
The programme was well structured. An introduction pack was given to on the first day with some key infromation and tasks to be completed. Time was split so that I may gain experience in different areas of the department.
The atmosphere was professional and focused. The department was busy, as such I generally always had a task at hand. I would'nt say this was fun, but was undoubtedly useful for personal and professional development.
The company offered me an oppurtunity to gain an insight into the diversity of work within one department. Although perosnal training and development is limited by a short one week period, I have undoubtedly benefitted from the experience.
The insight programme is a great taster for what working in the company is like. I was not limited to a single role but instead was offered snipets of a wide array of work. Furthermore I was invited to view department meetings and meetings related to current projects, contributing to a greater understanding of what full time employment would be like in the company.
I was invited to a company lunch and networking event which allowed me to discuss with a wider pool of staff the company and its roles. Moreover I was able to sit in on a department meeting where the culture of the company was expressed in depth.
The content of the insight programme is a useful introduction in the property indsutry. I ahve been supplied with an array of information on how to professioanlly enter the industry. I have been exsposed to a wide variety of work, deomstrating that there you can liekly specialize in a section of the industry that most interests you.
Everything Else
Although the role was not paid I was reimbursed travel expenses up to £150. Moreover the lunch that I was invited on was paid for by the company.
I was able to work with a variety of people within the department. The lunch was also an oppurtunity to network with a wider pool of employees.
Casual yet informative.
The employees run a range of sporting teams. Furthermore client management is a huge part of the department and evetns are constantly run in accordance to this.
The insight programme is a useful introduction to the professional enviroment and the property industry. You are exsposed to a diverse range of work and are encouraged to network.
