  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed my time at RBS. Some aspects were more interesting than others but overall, it offered an invaluable insight into an exciting and evolving business.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All the employees were very friendly and helpful and all of those I shadowed, seemed to go above and beyond to try and make me feel more comfortable and offer a more interesting experience even though that had busy schedules.

  • We had members of staff and graduates who we job shadowed who were very helpful and supportive and also during our presentation work we had a member of staff who assisted and assessed us.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a very valuable skill set during this week. The most important thing I learnt was that RBS value further qualifications and characteristics that make possible employees stand out. I also learnt that at any point you can change your career path and this flexibility inspired me to explore my options further.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The days were organised very well and everything ran on time. In addition the variation in activities allowed an insight into many aspects of RBS

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at RBS. All members off staff were exceedingly friendly and all were more than willing to help. Furthermore, the general atmosphere between people you didn't directly meet seemed very friendly and relaxed and helped me confirm that this is exactly the type of organistion I would enjoy working for.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They helped us develop our networking skills via several networking sessions with mentors and also our presentation skills via the same method.

  • Being able to personally experience many of the areas of the business really helped me to understand what it would feel like to work here full time.
