About You
The insight was very informative as well as giving you a good idea of what it would actually be like to work in the different group function areas. The week was really full on and there was not a boring moment.
Everyone at RBS was friendly and really made an effort to make sure you had a good experience over the week, it seemed like they were investing a lot of time and effort in us and that they had a mind set that you were a potential future colleague.
There was a clear structure to the insight so you always knew what you were meant to be doing. Everyone was also happy to answer any questions you had.
There was a lot of information relevant to financial degrees over the week however above all it has provided a real motivation to achieve a top result in my degree as I now know what I am working towards.
The Company
Great structure, we had skill sessions, informative talks, networking, shadowing, overall meaning we got the most out of our week and had as good an understanding of the company as possible.
Great atmosphere, rbs employees were friendly and so were the other interns. The whole experience was really enjoyable and I was sad for it to end!
We had many different talks and skills sessions, people took the time to do these for us on top of their everyday jobs.
The job shadowing gave you a great insight of this and when you were there even those you were not shadowing made you feel welcome so you could really imagine what it would be like to be part of the team.
The culture of rbs seemed to come through in every aspect of the insight week.
I've now got a clear idea of what I want to do and what I am working towards, the shadowing sessions were a real help towards this.
Everything Else
Travel expenses are to be reimbursed and lunch was provided each day.
We got a networking drinks session on the first and last days but there was also a chance to do this as you went along as you were constantly meeting new people.
Networking drinks on the first and last evenings. We also got networking skill sessions and we could then put what we learn into practise.
You only really heard this if you asked but everyone was happy to answer.
Definitely.
