About You
A very repetitive role which wasnt particularly enjoyable at times
Didnt feel very welcome, people just wanted to get the job done and leave
I recieved a lot of support at the start of my time there but towards the end i didnt receive any.
I did take away some useful skills from this work placement and some industry skills that were very relevant to my degree.
The Company
I was given a daily routine at the start of the 4 week placement
Not a nice atmosphere. Very quiet and not time for joking around
I was shown how to use the computers in a competent manor but i wasnt given training in regards to customers.
I was able to observe full timers everyday so i gained views on what it would be like to work there full time.
There was not any specific mention of santander's company culture throughout the insight
It showed me the job from a different light as opposed to what you just learn in your degree work. It would not be something i would really like to do now.
Everything Else
I was not to be paid
I had no option to meet with managers to try and network
These were non-existent
I was never informed of such opportunities
It would be worth doing if you want to enter banking but i would definitely say there are more prestigious places to do an insight.
