About You
I wasn't sure about the firm at first, because the first day was spent with lots of information being thrown at us. However, as the week went on everything became more relaxed as people were more comfortable with one another.
I felt like the work I was doing was very useful, and most people were friendly although it sometimes seemed a little false.
My supervisor provided me with lots of great guidance.
It has given me a real insight into future practice areas and put me in a very strong position to apply specifically for a training contract at Taylor Wessing, although the week was very practical and so not directly relevant to my degree.
The Company
The timetable was fantastic, everything was amazingly well organised and ran without any problems. I have never experied better organisation.
Everybody was relaxed and friendly, but sometimes it was a little false. The trainees were all very friendly.
Very much so, especially given the amount of time spent with trainees.
The Taylor Wessing culture and ethos was part of nearly every activity.
Everything Else
I had many opportunities to network, both from within the department and across the whole firm, especially with trainees but across wider areas too.
There were networking opportunities nearly every day.
A little bit, but it wasn't something that was specifically covered. The pro bono activity was cancelled due to a lack of clients, which was disappointing.
I would recommend it to anyone who, like me, is serious about Taylor Wessing and eagar to gain a real insight. I got the impression that without a Vacation Scheme, it is very hard to get a training contract here because you simply cannot get a strong enough "feel" for the firm.
