About You
Everyone in my department was extremely friendly and the trainess accepted you as one of their own and gave you really good advice about seat, Taylor Wessing and a career in law
I never felt that I was in the way and was giving plenty of meaningful tasks to do. I was never belittled or patronised in any way and genuinely felt like I had been there for ages.
My supervisor and other associates were extreemly goodd at guiding me through what I didnt understand and helping me to understand how they approach those tasks. My supervisor was often available to talk and if not then one of the other associates always helped out.
I learnt more in my week at Taylor Wessing than I have from any other work expereince to date. I learnt a lot about how to draft contracts and will be able to use these when I next work in a firm. I also effectively learnt to time manage and build relationships with colleagues
The Company
The insight was well structured and allowed us to experience what it is like to be part of a firm whilst also helping us understand the Training Contract process and having some social time.
Everyone I met at Taylor Wessing was very personable and actively engaged with you. You could tell there was a real jovial and wlecoming atmosphere and it wasn't just a front.
We were given an appraisal at the end of the week in order to show us what they thought we had done well and what could be improved. We had to prepare a presentation and work given meaningful tasks all of which helped me improve.
You got to work really closely with trainees, associates and partners and learn whaat they did in the day to day. The atmosphere I experienced was what it is clearly like 365 days of the year.
I was able to realise that what Taylor Wessing says on its brochure is exactly what it is. You got to meet lawyers from all levels and see their personality and they were all clearly friendly and interesting people to be around.
I was sure I wanted to do law before I came to Taylor Wessing but I know now what sort of culture, work and firm I want to be part of too.

We had events with the trainees which made networking with them extremely easy. We were also invited to the firms quarterly awards event which featured everuone from the accounting team to the managing partner and so it was nice to see everyone involved in the firm. I also found myself sitting with people from graduate recruitment and senior associates at lunch.
The trainees were all really genuine and organised great events. The quarterly awards were also very fun with the final of the firms table tennis tournament.
We met with the trainees who told us about what they were involved in outside of law and we got to witness the firms choir first hand as well.
Brilliant firm, with brilliant people, with brilliant clients
