About You
Working hours are long and a lot is expected of you.
Incredibly friendly culture from trainees to partners. All the work done was appreciate with extensive feedback given.
Supervisors and graduate recruitment were very welcoming of any questions you may have.
The extensive feedback has given me skills to significantly improve for future tasks, of a similar nature, on a vacation scheme or training contract.
The Company
Most of my time was spend doing work for people in my department, rather than structured meetings and exercises.
Everyone within the firm seemed to enjoy the work they were doing and the company of their colleagues. This was also reflected in the social events.
I was able to attend a couple of training sessions.
The nature of the work was reflective of the work that a trainee would do.
Socialising with colleagues both inside and outside of work was reflective of the company's friendly, non-hierarchial culture.
The nature of the work was reflective of a trainee's role, therefore it was useful in confirming commercial law is the correct career choice for me.
Everything Else
The pay coverered communting costs. However, would have been unlikely to have covered accommodation.
Networking events were held with partners, associates and trainees.
Perhaps more imaginative socials could have been planned. However, they were enjoyable none the less.
Charity and sports events are in abundance.
A reflective insight to life as a commercial lawyer and life as a trainee at the firm.
