About You
Amazing experience, there were many networking opportunities and at the same time, it was very educational.
There were not many other people in the Spring week, so I felt like the company made everyone feel valued during the internship.
I was given 9 hours worth of shadowing throughout the week. So I shadowed 3 people (3 hours each) and each of them work in different areas. Therefore, these people guided me, answered my questions and made sure that I had a thorough understanding of the industry that they are in.
My presentation skills definitely improved because of the talk given during the Spring week. We were required to do a presentation at the end of the week, so my group had to practice talking in front of an audience. This will assist me in my degree studies and beyond because presentation skills are crucial.
The Company
Very well structured, the insight had a clear timetable and everything happened the way that it was planned.
Very friendly atmosphere, I recommend this insight to anyone who is interested in a career in banking.
Barclays made me understand the company culture which mainly relies on their 5 values (respect, integrity, service, excellence and stewardship).
Everything Else
Yes there were 2 networking opportunities
