About You
Everyone I met was really happy to talk to you, fellow interns were all nice and I would definitely keep in touch with them all after.
Throughout the week we were treated as an important part of the business, an example of this is that on our first rotation we were invited to the weekly meeting with the rest of the emerging markets team and allowed to express our opinion to employees of all levels.
Everyone was really friendly so if you were confused during the week it was easy to approach people and just ask. At the beginning of the week we had lots of talks and presentations on topics such as networking, trading and pitching which helped to develop skills which were useful throughout the week.
The Company
The detailed information booklet given to us at the start of the week provided all the information necessary. Throughout the week everything ran smoothly and was coordinated well. The week started by providing us with an overview of rbs and developing our skills set we were then able to go and practice these whilst learning more about specific areas within rbs during our desk rotations.
One of the most positive things about spending time at RBS was the atmosphere. Everyone was willing to spend time with us, explain what they did and answer any questions we had.
Everything Else
The spring week wasn't paid and as I live within the M25 I didn't get my travel reimbursed. Lunch and tea and coffee were always provided however.
