About You
Very good insight into the functions and culture of the bank. It provides a clear idea of what working in banking is like
Very valued! We are often referred to as the future of BAML
HR was always ready to answer any queries we might have, and all activities were thoroughly explained
Not all directly relevant to degree except accounting and valuation techniques, however we developed other transferable skills such as presentation and networking skills.
The Company
Very well structured. The timetable was followed seamlessly
Very friendly but still quite competitive between participants as everyone wanted to prove themselves.
Dinners, networking canapés, case studies with analysts, presentation skills session with a professional comedian etc.
Quite well through speaking to employees however I was not allowed to shadow in my chosen preferences therefore making it hard to fully understand how a typical day would look like
Networking with employees was definitely a great way to understand the culture
We had tailored timetables based on our department preferences therefore making us get an insight on what kind of work one would do. Networking events as well
Everything Else
Travel expenses
A lot! Lunches, dinners, drinks, case studies etc
Quite well organised, people from different departments would be there and you had to decide who to talk to
We had a CSR presentation
Definitely if you want to decide which division you might be more interested in.
