About You
The Spring Insight week was absolutely interesting and stimulating. Moreover it managed to be enjoyable despite the busy schedule.
You never truly believe how important culture is before being exposed to it. All the employees, for the HRs to VPs and Associates are friendly and treat you as part of the team.
You are individually followed by the Campus Recruitment Team, which has been helpful and flexible during the whole week.
Dramatically. The Week focused on helping you develop teamwork and presentation skills. It provided a general picture of what each division does within the Bank. And it also offered you the possibility to directly experience what your first division of preference does, though a work shadowing session.
The Company
The structure was well defined, and the schedule always respected.
The atmosphere was very enjoyable, and friendly, much more than I would have expected.
When a company pays all your expenses, organises seven networking sessions with employees from analysts to very senior people, it is definitely investing in you. Bank of America even hired a professional comedian to improve our presentation skills.
I know much more than before. Yet, in only a week it is hard to understand all the tasks and responsibilities a full time role involves.
From day one you are exposed to a great number of people, coming from all divisions. This is certainly the best way to understand Bank of Amrica-Merrill Lynch Culture.
Very useful. The whole week was designed to explain interns what each division does and what the work is on a day to day basis. Few of us were still undecided at the end of the week, and many understood that their first division of preference wasn't actually what they wanted to do.
Everything Else
All travel and accommodation expenses were covered. Breakfast and lunch were always provided within the bank. Also two dinners, one of which in an fashionable and classy restaurant, were offered.
We had seven networking windows during the week, and all the divisions were represented. You had the opportunity to talk to everyone, from analysts to more senior employees.
They were usually very good. The ratio of people to employee was good, and all of them made you feel your questions were welcomed and that they were enjoying their time as well.
Yes we did, though it mainly depended on the relationship you developed with the employee you were talking to.
This has been the most exciting, interesting and life-changing experience so far. How could I not recommend this to a friend of mine?
