About You
Very good insight into all areas of the bank.
Highly valued. HR were really helpful, and didn't encourage us to compete with one another.
Many opportunities to network during which I received a lot of guidance.
Have a much better understanding of the bank now, and there was particularly a lot of focus on presentation skills and teamwork, i.e. how to perform well in assessment centres
The Company
Very well organised.
Culture was fantastic, and not too competitive between interns.
Very much so - two presentation skills sessions.
Presentations on all areas of the company: GCIB, Markets, Risk, Tech, Transaction services, Research etc.
Met many different members of the business - got a good insight into the type of people who work there.
Very valuable.
Everything Else
BAML provided accommodation in Stratford (the week takes place in both the St Paul's and Canary Wharf offices), as well as travel to and from university, and a travelcard for during the week.
Plenty of networking sessions. 2 lunches, 1 drinks party, 1 dinner,
Drinks party on the first night, and a 3 course dinner in the City on the final night.
There was a talk about social corporate responsibility.
Excellent insight into all areas of the bank, and there were also opportunities to shadow Tech/Markets people, or a Investment Banking case study, depending on what you're interested in.
