The Role
it was more office based than i would have liked but i did get to see how the office operated
i felt like i was doing worth while jobs even though i know they were trivial
they were always available and around to ask questions or resolve any problems i had
i wasn't that busy but there were always people around to keep me occupied
not much but there wasn't that much reason to have any i had no specific role to carry out in my time there
it showed me how a real engineering company works. How the different sectors of the business interact. I got to see and investigated technical drawings and comment on maintenance plans
The Company
friendly supportive and encouraging
it was self made and unofficial so they did really well with me given there was no real set up for my position
they put time into me during the placement but that is as far as it has gone. but then i have not asked for anything more
it is a big international company and so the idea of a job with them in the future is a great prospect and from what i saw something i would very much consider
The Culture
it was only me in the placement at the time so this is not applicable. But at the endof the placement a few of the guys in the office took me for a drink at lunch
i was doing it from home so this was not an issue to me
i did not participate in the nightlife, i am not that sort of person
no there were no opportunities
