Insight Programme Intern Review

I learned a lot about Savills and the property industry in just one week and the experience has further affirmed my goal to join the company as a graduate.

I was given increasing responsibility throughout the week and felt I was able to contribute to the team through my work.

My mentors and team director were very supportive and I was able to acquire clarification whenever it was needed. As a result I learned a lot more about the property industry. I especially appreciated their guidance as I am currently studying a non-cognate degree.

I believe that this insight week has provided me with a good introduction to the property industry, which will help me when and if I start a summer scheme in this industry. It will definitely help when I start my studies in my RICS-accredited Masters programme.

I found the week to be very well structured. Presentations on the different departments of the company provided a good, all-round insight into the business as a whole. I was also able to socialise and network with fellow interns, graduates and directors, which I especially appreciated. Throughout the scheme I was also given the chance to join site visits and perform hands-on tasks, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I felt that the Savills office had a great atmosphere and there was clear balance between work and social life outside of the office. I felt that each individual is valued highly and there was clear mutual respect within and between teams.

I felt that my mentors, director, team and the Savills HR team truly took their time to ensure interns made the most of their time at Savills.

It provided a good insight into what it would be like to have a full time role with the company. I hope to continue learning more through acquiring a summer scheme with the firm.

Savills provided cross-departmental talks, which I especially appreciated.

I was introduced to members of my team, other key figures in the company, graduates, fellow interns and was also given the great opportunity to meet directors of other teams within the company.
