About You
I really enjoyed Citi Quest 2014. Learned a lot and really got to know the department that I was working in really well.
Really valued. They were giving me real stuff to do, and to trust us spring interns with such responsibilities is really incredible.
Lots of guidance and support from both my line manager and the people I was working with.
It made me understand how the financial world operates hand in hand with the commercial world, and at the same times, I gained valuable excel skills as well.
The Company
It was not very structured in a way what you do is totally dependent on what your line manager gives you. But thats the beauty of this program, unlike other Spring Weeks. However, there were still some other structured programs like networking session with people from other divisions and a social event.
The people at Citi were really engaging and willing to share with you their experiences, really enjoyed the internship.
Not that much investment from the program coordinator, but the amount of training and development gained by doing stuff and learning from the line managers and other colleagues made up for it.
You really feel like you are part of the company so it gives you a very good understanding of what a full time staff will do.
Really insightful because its like as if you are part of the company.
Really useful cause it gives you a very deep insightful for non-penultimate year students to really understand what the staffs in that particular division do on a daily basis and some of the projects that they do as well.
Everything Else
Nope, not paid. Not reimbursed as well because I live in London. But those not living in London were given a room in a hotel.
Yes, there were 2 such networking opportunities which I felt was sufficient given how this program was actually aiming to let us fully experience for 1 week how working at Citi is like.
Good, they invited quite a number of staff across various divisions, and some of them were quite senior as well.
Yes, but basically you got to be proactive and find people to talk to across the division and the bank if you want to find out more about a particular area or business.
Definitely, this is the better of the two spring internships that I did.
