About You
I really enjoyed my time at the BAML Spring Week. Prior to my Spring week, I already had some knowledge of the industry, but the Spring gave me the whole picture by giving me the opportunity to meet with all departments.
Well don't expect that every employee will know your name within a week. That is totally normal and understandable. But good thing is that we have time to give presentations and take part in some games, so we do not feel to passive.
Good support.
As said, I will benefit from the overview of the industry I was given. I think to some extent it also developed my networking skills.
The Company
The organization was really great, with a perfect timing.
Good atmosphere in general.
People were really available and happy to answer questions.
Work shadowing sessions and discussions with the staff helped me to figure out what the role of each person was and how they evolve throughout the career.
Many initiatives were presented, and the values were mentioned always related to concrete examples/actions.
With such an Insight, it helped me ask myself the good questions about my future career path and figure out how it would be if I worked there.
Everything Else
Travel as well as accommodation expenses were reimbursed.
Plenty of opportunities for networking: panels, cocktails, dinner, breakfast...
Good (after-work) events, I wish I had more!
A big point was made about the way people can get involved outside of work: charities, associations to name but 2 examples.
If you want to discover more about the industry, this is a really good opportunity.
