About You
An exciting week spent doing a variety of things.
Although employees are very busy doing their jobs which you may not always be able to get involved in they do their best to provide you with work from a variety of sectors.
All employees seemed happy to help and would provide further details if asked.
It was interesting to learn about completely new areas not yet covered on my degree whilst some other areas linked in very closely with things we have already studied. Having now seen the practice in a professional light it will be hugely beneficial to apply this knowledge to my studies.
The Company
A good structure was provided throughout the week although you do have to allow for variations to work around others time tables but this is the nature of the job.
The atmosphere both inside the office, out on site visits and socially outside of the work environment was enjoyable and although everyone was busy they always had time to provide support when required.
The level of work increased gradually over the week allowing you to get to know the systems before increasing the depth of detail.
The scheme does well to do 'exactly what it say on the tin', it provides you with a true insight into the goings on of the industry!
The office I worked in seemed to have an excellent working relationship between employees but staff were also well aware of their tasks, what needed to be done and the time scale relevant to each.
Working alongside numerous people during my insight allowed me to experience different aspects within the sector and should ultimately help me to choose which path I wish to follow.
Everything Else
Well organised system for expenses!
Meet with other sectors from the same branch but a week is only a short time to plan so much.
The social events were enjoyable and allowed me to get to know the employees a little more and their past experiences that have lead they to work in this industry.
The company seems to have a very good communication system and there seemed to be lots of social events and teams open to employees.
Definitely worth apply for! I thoroughly enjoyed my week working at Savills and feel like I gained a lot of useful knowledge and experience that will help me to further my studies.
