  • Fun and challenging.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As would be expected in software - I was given meaningful and necessary tasks, but not critical ones.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They were very willing to expend employee time on teaching me, and there was no problem with me taking long stretches of time to read/train myself.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I was offered an extension to my placement. I guess that's a good sign.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I didn't meet other placement students. I got on very well with colleagues but this was almost all at work.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Extremely expensive (Cambridge).

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Excellent pubs and college bars. Nightclubs not so good, although better than you might expect for a small town.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • All sorts going on in Cambridge!

    5/5
