About You
I really enjoyed the programme as it was varied, so there was always something new and interesting to learn about.
Everyone I met was friendly and willing to answer questions and take the time to speak to me.
The programme really gave me an insight into banking, and specifically Citi, which was useful for considering possible career options. The work shadowing was particularly useful for this.
The Company
We had a packed programme so we could really make the most of our time there, and the days were balanced between presentations, games, and networking events.
There was always a friendly atmosphere, both with other interns and with employees. This definitely helped make the experience so enjoyable.
I had help improving the format of my CV, and we all had an interview at the end of the programme, which was a good experience for practice.
Not so much from the programme itself, but from speaking to employees and from the work shadowing.
There was a lot of emphasis on diversity, and there was a very welcoming and accepting atmosphere.
We were given a lot of information on each separate division of the bank, so I am much better informed on possible career paths.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for travel expenses over £20.
There was a great emphasis on the importance of networking, so this formed a large part of the programme, and we were constantly encouraged to talk to employees, all of whom were helpful and informative.
They ranged from an informal lunch to an evening out at a bar. There was always an opportunity to talk to someone from each division.
I would thoroughly recommend the programme to anyone wanting to learn more about banking in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. As there were fewer interns on this programme, there was greater opportunity for asking questions and speaking to employees individually.
