About You
You really understand the culture of Citi once you are in the Citi Quest Program. That is key in order to distinguish between the various bulge bracket banks when it comes to deciding where to apply.
Employees always available to help and to answer any question we had.
Amazing support in terms of making me understand how the Division where I was really works. Incredible guidance that has made me understand in which exact division I want to focus in Citi.
I am considering majoring in my last year of university in either Mathematics or Finance since Citi really made me understand I want to work in a very quantitative and dynamic world.
The Company
1] Networking events 2] Excellent work shadowing and met a lot of employees 3] Divided by division (you can decide in which specific bank division (Markets, Private Banking, etc.) you want to focus your week on), which has allowed us to see each subdivision in detail (for example Commodities, FX, Equities and Prime Brokerage) 4] Final day interview to summarize who we have met, what we have learnt and how we can apply what we have learnt in the future
Very teamwork-focused, with employees always available to provide help not only between themselves but also to us "Springterns". Citi really is what it claims to be: "one team with one goal: serving clients and stakeholders".
Work shadowing and constant division presentations really helped me understand how each of them was conducted and what the key aspects to consider in order to do the best possible job were.
I really got to explore the way business was conducted on a day-to-day basis throughout the various divisions assigned to me.
It is incredible how much you can learn about Citi in five days: I guarantee you will right away understand if it is the bank for you or not.
It gave me an extra confirmation about the career path I want to follow.
Everything Else
1] Unpaid week 2] Travel, food and accommodation paid
"Speed Networking" (6 minutes per division) and events held near Canary Wharf.
Cannot really get the best out of speed networking lasting 6 minutes for each division; the networking buffet instead was very effective.
Extra events and networking opportunities available.
You get an incredible exposure to what Citi is, in terms of being a bulge bracket American bank. And you do get to understand the difference between Citi and other very similar bulge bracket banks (similar at least from an external point of view). It also provides you with a good insight of what it is to live in London.
