The Role
Working for HP was my dream and the job stood up to my expections.
I feel that my colleagues are treating me well and with respect.
Management guide me through tasks whenever I need assistance. They're always there if I need to ask them something.
I am always getting lots of calls from departments requesting help with their software. I have to book time to see them all and I hardly have anytime free. But by using the booking system I make sure I am not overworked.
To be able to go on my own and help other colleagues with their problems was a huge responsibility and I am very glad that HP could trust me like this.
Since my course involves a lot of software development, I have learnt a lot about different software and how to fix it. This will be very useful.
The Company
The entire company was brilliant - and not just my office. Although I was busy, I had a great time and everyone is so nice.
I have had no problems, everything has gone smoothly.
I feel that I have learnt most of the work myself without the need for lots of training. But still, practical experience is the best way.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Future employment with HP shouldn't be a problem - there are always lots of available jobs.
The Culture
HP arranges lots of student/graduate events due to the numbers they employ as well as lots of other events for everyone. I got to meet lots of people this way.
Bristol is a nice, cost-effective place to live.
Bristol has got some good amusements - cinema, shopping, bars, cafes, supermarkets - enough to keep me busy.
There are tons of activites arranged by HP outside of work as well as by other students. Nearby, there's also a gym, shopping area and lots more.
