About You
The event was really well managed. The activities were all really interesting, the talks were relevant. Really well planned event.
The event organiser looked after everyone really well. Questions were answered when asked and were answered really well too.
I came to the event not knowing what to expect, whether it will be just 3 days of talks followed by more talks from managers or something else, but I was nicely surprised by the variance in the activities.
The Agile methodologies exercise will be really handy during studies and work placements in the near future. The mock assessment centre was really interesting and provided a lot of guidance as to what expect in the real thing.
The Company
The best managed and organised event I have ever attended.
The organisers were friendly and easy to talk to, they answered all of the questions asked. Other people that attended this event were pleasant and friendly. Really good event for meeting similarly minded people !
The Agile methodologies talk and the exercise following it were fantastic. The worker shadowing was also really interesting ( It would have been better if we did 3 shadowing sessions ). The mock assessment centre was really insightful too. The networking evening was fun too, met and talked to a lot of interesting people.
It was real eye opener as to how pleasant the work environment seems to be at JP Morgan. I assumed it would be a really dull place to work in but I was proven really wrong.
The company has a fantastic culture. The people are friendly, there are a lot of outside activities organised by the company for the employees which is a big plus.
I was not sure if I wanted to try and get an internship in a financial company but after attending this event I have made my mind up that I do.
Everything Else
Since I had to travel from Ireland the organisers were really nice and paid for all of the expenses. Including the hotel, flight and food. This shows that the organisers really care about the comfort of the people attending this event.
The worker shadowing was really helpful for networking with the employees. As mentioned above it would have been even better if we had maybe 3 or 4 shadowing sessions to get a more in-depth knowledge of the activities people do. Over all the networking opportunities were firm.
Very interesting.
Most of the employees talked to us about the outside of work activities that they get involved in. A lot of these are organised by people inside the company which is really nice. I especially liked the fact that people get involved with the local community and charities.
Yes. I literally have no negatives about this event. Organisation was superb, people were fantastic and the the information gathered was very relevant and valuable.
