About You
I enjoyed the work shadowing from my second day. It is really enjoyable and every travel expenses ( train ride, a sea view room all to yourself , and all the friends made within ) makes you definitely applying for a summer intern here.
The cafeteria in the firm is the best place to hang around and chat casually with the firm, and most of them are friendly and helpful to tell you what division they worked before and their experiences in the firm.
The campus recruiter, Clare, Leslie and Leanne did a pretty good job. They were around in throughout the events ( except the work shadowing ) and every burning questions by the applicants were answered by someone in each division.
I would say more like soft skills, because throughout the insight we had a few mock assessment centres on the day itself and in my group someone from the London campus recruiter helped us and give us feedback on how to improve during an interview (especially their own interview ! ) and the to-dos and not-to-dos during assessment centres.
The Company
We had our first day timetables before we came over here, and one of the campus recruiter had a casual chat with all of the participants to make sure we need anything.
The atmosphere is really friendly, everyone just feel like being part of the community. The campus feel like a Google campus itself ( being one of the biggest Technology Centre in the Europe region ! )
Talents, Passion, Understanding of the firm, and the Motivation to be part of the community.
Useful.
The people, is what the company is selling their best culture of !
Valuable because on the last day , a campus recruiter talked to us the various opportunities within the firm and what participants can apply to.
Everything Else
Hotels, food, and transport were all paid by the firm.
Throughout the 3 day insight programme !
Very insightful, the people in the firm is definitely open and willing to share their experiences with the participtants
The people in the firm could just start their own activities ! On the first day, the firm organized a transport fair so that the staff could explore new or cheaper ways to commute.
ABSOLUTELY.
