About You
Incredible experience, really insightful. Consolidated my interest in Investment Banking.
The Culture is great. You're there, you're treated as a prospective part of the team and you learn a lot from your mentors.
They had an event to keep us engaged down to the minute. Not a second was ill-spent and the activities were varied.
My career choice was greatly influenced by what I learned during this programme.
The Company
Everything was scheduled and went according to plan. Leaving a couple of no-shows due to last minute circumstances and the busy nature of investment banking aside, everything was set up perfectly.
The people in this programme are really smart and welcoming. You don't have an aggressive culture, teamwork is essential to getting the most out of the experience.
6 hours+ of travel, accommodation, meals. Not much more left there for discretionary spending, really.
The only thing that was missing was job shadowing.
Team-oriented, results driven. Observed throughout.
Everything Else
Travel, stay, extra stay, and meals all paid for.
Everyday.
Sometimes the intern/employee ratio wasn't the best but overall really good. Just by sheer volume you were bound to network successfully.
We heard a mention of clubs/activities but not in detail.
They need to be willing to put in the time to be an Investment banker and have the organisational skills.
