About You
Very informative but i felt that the culture at JP Morgan was extremely cut throat and dog eat dog. As a result i found a few employees arrogant. Overall, i believe that i learnt a lot in a short amount of time but would not pursue a career at the firm
Not very, the general impression i gained was 'why should we pick you?' instead of why i should pick them
Hard to say, some employees were extremely helpful but then this was offset by other being unwilling to support you.
I believe a gained a valuable insight into how the industry works and can definitely say that the experience has opened other doors for me.
The Company
Very well structured
Very competitive and not very collaborative.
They offer training in New York which is a big appeal.
The insight made me realise that a full time role there would be very intense and pressurising, something which other people may love but which i would not enjoy.
I'd say the culture they portray on their website is different to what you experience when there. J.P. Morgan definitely promotes excellence and high work ethic but i didn't perceive the culture as friendly or collaborative
Helped you to explore different roles and asset classes.
Everything Else
Only a spring week so not reimbursed
Yes, all the time.
Good
No
Yes and no, it depends on what type of person you are
