The Role
Very much enjoyed my time there, always work to be getting on with and despite having a set of daily duties, there was always something different to do
Was given much responsibility and thus my team became dependent on my work
Manager was very helpful in suggesting additional training and areas in which i should try and improve my knowledge if i would want a future career in that role
Every day i would have a set of tasks that had to be complete before 2pm, how quickly they were done was dependent on the data that we were given. Generally it is a very 8am-6pm type of job though
Considerable responsibility, whole desks were handed over to me, I was allowed to change and amend the reports so that they were more efficient or showed the data more clearly
Developed good teamwork and communication skills, limited knowledge on a wider scope though
The Company
Fair bit of banter around the office but worked within a small team (7 people) during a busy period so there were some times when people had to get down to work.
Very well organised, very easy to get in the swing of work quickly
Offered a couple of training sessions but nothing amazing
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Healthcare from home
Would very much like to return to the company but witrhin a different team as i am unsure of the future prospects in the market risk team
The Culture
Were around 10 other interns from the university course on the scheme, so lots of social and people to see at lunch and after work
Not very cheap, worked right near liverpool street, so very much city territory but you are paid accordingly
Lots of pubs and bars which are great fun, can be expensive but good nonetheless
Yes, but did not take much part, there were most sports groups though
