About You
It was one of the best weeks I had. It was full of excitements and learning. I am sure everybody there felt the same way
I felt like I knew everybody there. I just go to someone, introduce myself, and just start talking. Everybody there was smiling and happy.
Everybody there supported me. Either it was the campus recruitment or the workers we shadowed. I felt all the people I met were looking at me like I am a part of their team.
I didn't learn a lot of technical stuff but I certainly did learn a lot of skills. I very much enjoyed the technology interactive session. It gave me a real feeling of how it actually feels to be working in a technology division. The best presentation was the presentation skills session by the comedian. I certainly learnt a lot from that. Oh and the innovation session, there was very good, too. I can go on and on and on. It's hard to pick one.
The Company
It was very well structured. We were kept busy all the time. You can't even feel the time passing.
The atmosphere was amazing. I almost cried when I left on the last day. I somehow felt connected to the place and to all fellow students there. They were all amazing.
They certainly invested a lot on us. We could see that. I also heard from the employees there how much the bank invests in them to improve continuously.
It did definitely helped to understand how it feels to be working there and the different divisions at the bank, some of which that I never heard of. Working shadowing was good. Maybe it was not in the specific area that I was interested in but it still helped to understand the environment there.
The culture at BAML is simply the best. It's like a family. Everybody is your friend. You can never be scared to ask any question no matter how small it is.
I know now which division I am going for exactly, and I have been given the chance to take a part in the assessment center for the summer internship next year. I am certainly going to fight for a place there.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed my travel expenses, and they provided the accommodation in a very nice apartment in Stratford.
Oh yeees. there were a lot of opportunities. It's probably everyday at lunch we had business representative to network with. There are more than enough opportunities to network with all sort of people.
There were perfect. On Thursday of that week. We had a networking dinner with business representatives from the divisions we are interested in. It was the best dinner ever. I very much enjoyed , so did everybody.
There are a lot of volunteering opportunities, employees social networks, gym, and more.
I refused an offer from JP Morgan to go for BAML, and I am confident to say that I have made the right decision. I 100% recommend this program. NO Hesitation!
