The Role
Interesting and demanding work that as a team we were in control of.
Very friendly working environment, good friends in group and easily approachable other colleagues.
Managers in team were good; if i asked for help or advice, i was helped. other members of staff were also very nice and gave my basic career advice. on the othr hand, supervisors were no help, felt abandoned and as though i was a spare part to them, the had too many interns to focus enough on each of them.
Due to the nature of the project there was variance in the workload though predominantly a good balance.
As a group we were running our own show and this responsibility was shared between all members.
The technical knowledge I acquired has already gone toward shaping my third year project and I trust many more projects beyond that.
The Company
Working in a room with 3 other groups of 4 meant there was a lively atmosphere though when you got your music in it was like no one was there
The internship was well structured and accommodation provided.
Though there were opportunities to learn more for most part it was just a case of learning on the job
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Working from home
I will definitely be applying after my degree, friends finishing this academic year have already got a confirmed job.
The Culture
We lived in two flats of 8 people so would see some colleagues all the time and others at the pub.
Accommodation was provided though the general area was not very cheap
Good pubs and bars locally but for a night out you needed to travel a little bit
There was a clubhouse on the grounds that arranged various sporting and social activities.
