About You
It was a very enjoyable two weeks; we all felt like we got to know a lot about the firm and its culture and were given interesting work to do while we were there. The social side of the vac scheme was also really good!
Rather than doing photocopying or making bundles, we were given really interesting work to do and so we really gained a valuable insight into the type of work that our chosen departments are involved in.
We were each given a supervisor (either a partner or an associate) as well as a trainee buddy who were responsible for giving us work each week. The HR team and other trainees were also always available if we had any problems or questions.
The Company
There were a lot of fun social events organised throughout the two weeks, such as a curry night and bowling and karaoke, which meant that we got to know the HR team and the other vac schemers and trainees really well from the start. It made such a difference being able to come into work and seeing friendly faces! Everyone, including Partners and Associates, were very friendly and welcoming and we felt that we could ask them questions at all times.
