About You
People were always incredibly appreciative of having been helped
Support here has been excellent from grad rec through to the assigned buddy and even the partner that I have sat with. There is an incredibly collegiate and supportive atmosphere here, which has definitely shined through over the fortnight
The insight talks were paicularly helpful in giving information on what different practice areas are like, which in turn will help when choosing seats for a training contract in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere here is an incredible one. Everyone works incredibly hard but are also very friendly, making the work easier to manage and has made the hours fly by. The open-door policy that law firms talk of is definitely true here.
Over the two weeks I have conducted a range of work and even worked for different departments, giving a strong insight ino what it would be like working for the firm. The talks that have been organised have also helped provide an insight into what a full time role with the firm may entail
There is no better way to experience the culture of a firm than by actually spending time there. The open-door and collegiate aspects of the firm definitely ring true. It has definitely been a fun place to work and that is mainly down to the people.
Everything Else
Perhaps there could have been more networking opportunities, especially with different practice areas within the firm or maybe a meal or infomal drinks with trainees.
The firm's CSR seems strong as well as some of the extra-curricular things that trainees can get involved in. However, I think it would have been nice to perhaps to have a bit more information on what societies/extra-curricular things people get involved with here. Perhaps this could be incorporated into one of the trainee talks?
