The Role
The placement has been massive on my confidence and belief and I feel that not only have I improved educationally I also improved as a person.
From day one I was treat like I had been working there all my life. People were very nice and friendly.
I always felt I was able to ask for help if I needed it and if I was unsure I wasn't afraid to ask for help rather then do the work wrong.
Being involved in so many areas meant I always had a steady stream of work which I personally loved as I am quite a self-admitted workaholic.
I regulaly had the final say on some products that were being sold in nationwide stores so I would say that I had a ton of responsibility.
I have learnt loads about how much effort and skill and talent goes in to running a successful nationwide corporation and so I have much better understanding now then I did even a year ago.
The Company
I had no problems with the atmosphere. We all got on with the work.
Don't have much negative to say, but I did find that my carparking allowance money was always paid in late which were frustrating.
I were given training to do my job so I did recieve training of some sort. I do wish that I had been allowed to alternate between different departments though and experienced more of the corporation.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
They did say that they will contact me in the future if a suitable position comes available.
The Culture
The social scene was great and I made some close mates.
Manchesters known to be expensive and I found that out. Luckily my mom and pops helped me out with money isssues.
I had many brilliant nights!
I played in football matches for coop and we also had a staff table tennis competition which was wicked!
