About You
Really interesting. M&A, Corporate Banking and Trading games good fun, as was bowling event.
Everyone was there to help
HR were good in explaining the interview process, helping with CVs. The guys I shadowed on the trading floor were very good at explaining what they were doing to me.
Limited utility within my degree, however, in the workplace I imagine this experience will prove invaluable.
The Company
Well-executed schedule
There was a hard-working but fun and relaxed atmosphere
The whole programme was basically invested in us and selling Citi to us, we were not doing any 'real' work
Time work shadowing was particularly useful in this respect to get a variety of honest opinions.
Very useful, especially as you got to meet so many employees
The detailed introductions that were given for each department were effective in this respect.
Everything Else
All travel paid
Networking was perhaps the most important aspect of the insight programme.
Bowling was fun, a lot of bankers came to talk to us, panel discussions
Yes, e.g. Citi choir, sports
Of course, I learnt a lot but also met a lot of new people, expanding my network beyond school and university.
