About You
The group of students on my spring week were great which made the experience very enjoyable. The co-ordinator's were also very friendly and made me feel very comfortable.
I did feel valued during the week.
The support from the staff was fantastic; I asked no end of questions and every member of staff answered these as best they could and very honestly which I appreciated.
For my degree in Accounting and Finance it has helped me understand the wider picture and put everything into perspective but beyond that it is limited only due to what I have learnt is basic. The skills I have developed will be very useful and help me towards securing an internship next year and for further jobs.
The Company
Very structured; we were given timetables for each day.
Very good; I was surprised that there was no tension between students which was great and welcomed.
They invested a lot of training and development accross the week; networking skills and presentation skills.
The job shadowing and visiting the offices (Gogarburn in Edinburgh) definitely gives an insight into this.
We had a large insight into the culture and it seems fantastic; following their ruined reputation this surprised me as it seems a great place to work.
Everything Else
We had a networking event on the first day and plenty of opportunities in the job shadowing sessions.
Good exposure to graduates.
Compared to other companies, I wasn't told about the networks, charities and group activities available.
Yes as it is very insightful not just to RBS but to the culture of a bank and the full time working life.
