About You
It was good fun and some of the activities were interesting, although it was a little repetitive.
We were told what we had to do, and staff came round to help in the non-assessed exercises to give additional guidance. It was all extremely friendly and staff knew many peoples' names by the end.
There was lots of opportunities to network and improve skills as well as ask questions, however PwC as a firm, and its different business interests were never really explained.
Learnt and developed a lot of skills, and gave me lots of contacts.
The Company
Always something to do, however we weren't working through the night.
Fairly relaxed, although there were always things going on and things get quite intensive with the assessments.
We did lots of practice exercises that were really helpful and built a wide range of skills.
One of the partners explained his schedule over the formal dinner, however there was no opportunity to talk to those in the Graduate scheme to find out about their lives. Also, we only found out about the schedule of a partner in one particular business interest.
Everyone that spoke always spoke about the culture - about how it was open, one of development, one of challenge.
There was no information on each of the businesses, so I am none the wiser as to which area that I am interested in.
Everything Else
Up to £150 for travel, free food, free hotel (Marriott Golf Resort). Additional expenses such as that for WiFi and Newspapers for the room were't reimbursed.
Load and loads of opportunities to network with other delegates as well as partners and recruitment staff.
Good ratio of staff to delegates, formal dinner to meet partners with reception before and after.
It was alluded to.
Probably, although it felt a lot like an assessment centre, so it is most useful if you know what you want to do.
