About You
I found the spring week really interesting and stimulating.
The J.P Morgan staff were really welcoming and we were engaged by all levels of staff with equal enthusiasm, from analysts to vice presidents.
I felt continuously informed, before and during the programme, about what to expect.
Skills that are valuable for life were included in the spring week, such as networking and presentation skills, as well as industry specific knowledge. As someone who studies a non finance degree, I left with a massive amount of financial knowledge that I did not have before.
The Company
It was an extremely well organised programme.
The atmosphere was very focussed and professional throughout.
I don't think J.P Morgan could have put more resources into our spring week programme. We were continuously challenged.
It gave a good overview, but i don't think a week would ever provide a thorough insight into the stresses that would be involved in having a full time job at the firm.
Employees separately continuously mentioned how open J.P Morgan was as a firm, which was a definite insight into their culture.
I am now so much more aware about what a career in the banking industry could and would entail.
Everything Else
The firm payed for my travel and accommodation.
We had at least a networking breakfast, lunch or after work networking drinks every day.
At times there were too few company representatives to go around the spring week interns, which made it difficult to engage directly. However, we were continuously encouraged to take email addresses and ask them questions after the sessions had ended.
We had talks about female groups and groups for newly qualified professionals.
I would recommend the JP Morgan Spring week to anyone. The week was continuously stimulating and enriching.
