The Role
Staff were exceptionally friendly and useful, gave me invaluable information, however not much work to do, don't think they utilised my talents.
Some staff treated me as a school student despite being a graduate.
Recieved some of the best advice i've ever been given on succeeding in the industry.
Had very little work to do most of the time, with the exception of Newsnight who gave me a days worth of research to undertake.
With the exception on being put in charge of arranging an interview, I had very little responsibility.
The advice I received was far more valuable than any skills, I picked up some scriptwriting tips but I knew most of the skills.
The Company
The atmosphere was typical of that of a newsroom, tense, stressful, but full of excitement.
Some elements were in the wrong order, such as working with the TV news department on a Friday afternoon when there was little work left to do.
Was more of a shadowing placement than one involving any training.
They have already turned down one job application, however there's never no hope, just a case of continuously trying.
The Culture
There were discussions of socialising and events within the staff.
Glasgow is extremely affordable and one of the best cities in the country for a night out.
It is almost impossible to beat the nightlife in Glasgow, particularly the live music scene!
There were many social clubs and events within the office.
