About You
I enjoyed most activities; however, I feel that I could have been provided with more information on PwC and how they differentiate themselves from their competitors
The organisers went to a lot of effort to ensure that all members of the Talent Academy felt valued for the duration of the programme
I received little guidance on my future career. The closest I got to receiving guidance was during the dinner with partners; however, the partner to student ratio at this dinner made it difficult to have an in depth conversation about where I wanted to take my career
The Talent Academy helped me to identify my weaknesses and devise a plan to improve them
The Company
At all times I knew what I should be doing and where I should be going
Everyone was extremely welcoming
I didn't receive any personal training and development, but I don't think personal training and development was the purpose of Talent Academy. The Talent Academy had a large emphasis on team building more than anything
No idea. The Talent Academy was not in a PwC office and there was no opportunity to speak to employees of PwC. Of course I had the opportunity to speak to HR and partners of PwC, but I would have liked to of had the opportunity to speak to recent graduates who are now working at PwC
HR / Student Recruitment were nice, but they are nice at most companies. No real way of telling what the culture at PwC is like without having some of experience of working there
The Talent Academy did not focus on helping me plan out my career path. We touched on it towards the end, but not nearly enough
Everything Else
We were given an expenses form at the end of the Talent Academy
There were a few networking events over the course of the programme to talk with members of HR and partners of PwC. As previously mentioned, the employee to student ratio at the Talent Academy was not very good, which made it difficult to network
There wasn't much time to socialise outside of the structured timetable that PwC had created for three days. Having said that I found time to go the driving range and gym with a number of other students and made some good friends over the course of the programme
No idea
Yes, I would encourage people to apply. It is different to other insights I have been on. You will leave the Talent Academy with not only a PwC hoodie but also a big smile on your face :)
