Marketing Assistant Review

I loved being involved in large marketing campaigns and monitoring the sales conversion from these. It was great to see an ad that I had a big part in creating becoming very successful for the company.

I felt like I was a member of a very close family. I've never experienced such comfortability and support in a working environment before.

My mentor was in regular contact with me to check upon my progress during the placement. He was very invested in my progress and made sure that my experience at the company was beneficial.

The workload was just the right amount. I never had too much responsiblity and felt over-worked but I always felt that I was involved enough to feel interested and invested in my work

I worked within a team entrusted with successfully marketing the company to customers. I would say that I performed quite an important function within the business' infrastructure as without enticing customers to the company there would be no revenue.

Definitely skills for life. I got to put into practice everything that I'd learned at university.

All my colleagues were very supportive and helpful. They were all approachable, so if I had any problem or query I could always ask them and they would help me out.

A very well structured placement. Perfectly paced so that I had time to settle in before I was given all my work. I was happy all the way through my placement and never had anything major to complain about.

I was given plenty of training to make sure that I was up to the standard of their permanent employees. I was allowed to shadow my mentor for a week at the start of my placement as well, which was a great way to pick up new skills from an experienced member of the team.

When I graduate I will be fast-tracked into the company's graduate program which should lead to me becoming a permanent employee at the company.

There were quite a few other students at the company whilst I was there and we were very actively encouraged to get to know each other and bond. I made more than a few really good friends whilst I was on placement.

I live with my parents so I never had to find accomodation or living expenses but London is renowned for being an expensive city to live in.

You can't beat it--except on price.

BT is a definitely a very social company. I was always being invited to activities on weekends and bank holidays. All my colleagues were incredibly close and liked to spend time together outside of the workplace.
